European Motorcycles of Pittsburgh was gracious enough to let me take the BMW S1000RR for a test ride today.  This bike is truly amazing!  It was surprisingly comfortable to ride.  In addition to the comfort - it could handle like a dream.  The bike was incredibly flickable, and the brakes work better than any bike I'm used to riding.  The acceleration of the bike is blistering.
Too bad I did get to test it on the track - but after riding it on the street, I can only imagine that the bike would be untouchable, due to the ability to out-brake most other bikes into the turn, and accellerate faster than most other bikes out of the turns!
It was tempting to not return the bike on the test ride.  If I had the money - I would've traded in the Daytona right there on the spot!
If you're in the market for a 1000cc bike (or any sport bike, for that matter) - this is the one to get.
