Wow, that sounds incredible... Like a ferocious beast - ready to devour any bike in its path!  I thought the 999 was awesome on the track... I can't imagine the 1098... and it's only $15K  (what a steal!)  Too bad I don't have an extra $10K laying around.  Maybe I can sell a kidney on eBay (that's why we have 2, right?)

I guess I should mention that I saw one, er three at the IMS show over the weekend.  Awesome looking bike.  Same with the HyperMotard even though it was just a mockup and not the pre-production bike.

The 1098 is tiny, almost 600 size frame.  Where the 999 made a nice streetbike, this is  tiny and made to beat the big 4.  Its smaller than even the 916/748 but roomier, if that makes any sense.

Now we have an 600 size bike with a 160hp, torquey v-twin, on a chassis that you know is going to kick the shit out of those wide I-4's!
