WTF? Just when Buell starts making some decent bikes. Guess there's more profit from bikes designed in the 50's.

Pretty much my thought too. It's a shame they had to give them the axe. Other than poor motor designs, the buell's had a lot of cool innovations and actually a really great chassis.
The 1125r just didn't draw the crowd it should have, and it's last stride with the AMA promoting them and breaking the rules for buell to win the Daytona Sportbike class I think was their last chance to survive. Wonder what Danny Eslick's going to do on a level playing field on a 600...

The 1125R actually looks like a decent bike. Info on it here:

I hope something good comes from this and Buell's don't just become a collectors bike. I really think HD was holding them back.
