Butler Ride Update
We didn't care too much for the Butler ride.  Although, Franklin Road was great, and so was the Red Belt.  I might try Franklin to Evans City, pick up Prospect to 422.  Then loop to the west on 488 to 168.  This takes you in the vecinity of where 18 meets with 30 (a portion of the route listed in the first thread).  You can then head east to get to where the Red belt meets with 65 (Ohio River Blvd).  Then take the Red belt back to Cranberry.

I had a good time.  Most of the ride, I felt like we were lost, but that's half the fun.  I still can't belive we did over 150 miles.

I didn't feel lost until we were forced ont a highway in Kitanning.  Well, then - I felt lost again when we were in the booming metropolis of down-town Worthington.  Well, maybe a bit lost looking for Saxonburg Road.  OK, and maybe I felt a little lost on Lardingtown - with the 1-lane bridges and 15 mph turns.  Soooo... maybe I felt a little lost, too!  But, it was a great ride!

OK, I pieced together a map to get a general idea of where we were, and where we'd like to go.  Hopefully, we will find some great twisties on roads that aren't too bumpy!
Here's the map:

(note: this map is HUGE (1/2 MB).  Make sure you scroll around to look at the whole thing)

West VA Ride
I pieced together a map for a nice route thru WVA:
http://www.trackdayriders.com/gallery/v/bikes/WestVA_WesternPA_MAP_Hilites.jpg.html?g2_imageViewsIndex=1
From Bridgeville, take 50 to 88 to 250.
I'm not sure of the best way to get back.
I suppose heading thru Ohiopyle and 7 Springs, but not sure of the route.
You guys will have to let me know.

rt250 then to rt 7 is a beauty.  we could then head up 119 to 40, and take 381 into ohio pyle.  There'd be only a little bit of traffic around Morgantown and Uniontown.  I think that part of 40 is at the end of the expressway out of union town...pretty much the only boring part.

I know it's more of an older folks and kids event, but it's not autumn fest at 7 springs.  http://www.7springs.com/summer_autumnfest.shtml

could stop by there instead of ohio pyle and relax a bit, and maybe hit the alpine slide.  If you do, don't lose your cellphone like me while the slide is beating the shit out of you.
