So, here's a summary of what was done to the bike so far...

Front End:
I basically replaced the whole front end.  The previous owner must have run head-on into a brick wall.  Both forks were trash and the lower triple was bent.  Also had a nice ding in the wheel.  All bent stuff was replaced with parts off ebay.
Added a steering damper I had laying around the garage.

Suspension
Forks got .9 springs from Sonic Springs and 20wt oil.  Drilled the rods and used JB weld to seal the rebound hole.
Rear shock is a Penske 8983 (double clicker).  Think it's got a 650lb spring setup for 180lb rider.

Controls
Vortex Clip-ons
Woodcraft rearsets (high kind)
New levers (stock)
New shift lever - found a cheap aftermarket one on ebay
Vesrah RJL brake pads up front

Bodywork
Hotbodies SV650 bodywork.  This stuff required A LOT of trimming and sanding, but I think it came out nice.
GP Tech fairing stay.  Got the 01 GSXR-750 style.  Also ordered an 01 GSXR-750 windscreen, but indysuperbike doesn't want to ship it to me (2 months, 10 emails and 2 phone calls later).

Engine
All stock.  Just shimmed the needles (search SVRider.com), drained the carbs and changed the plugs.

Misc
Safety wired ALL drain bolts and coolant hoses.  Also wired all brake caliper bolts, axle bolts and exhaust mounts.  Flushed out what appeared to be the original coolant and replaced with water wetter.
Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa pro tires (SC1 front, SC2 rear)

Mods for 2010 so far include:

  • M4 Full Exhaust
  • R6 throttle tube
  • 05 SV shift star
  • 520 chain conversion
  • Stomp grips

Also got another complete set of wheels.  We're going to experiment with 15/43 gearing at Nelson this weekend.  Engine is still stock, but I tweaked the carb mixture screws a little.
