Sorry I missed the last track day (damn work had me traveling this week!)

Hope you guys had a great time.  Let me know what I missed, (hopefully I get to see some good footage and/or pix)

It was HOT and HUMID with hardly a breeze.  I'm still chugging water trying to rehydrate myself.
I'd say this was the best turnout Lee has had all year.  The morning started out a little rough with 4 wrecks before lunch in intermediate alone.  After lunch, everyone seemed to space out a little more and we were getting some really good laps.  Teacoach was getting some good times on the 250, but I have no idea what my times were since i've yet to get my timer fixed.
Overall, this wasn't my best day.  Maybe it was the heat or maybe the lack of sleep (5 hours).  I just didn't get in that groove.  I did record two sessions, but they were in the afternoon (all the excitement was before lunch).  I'll post them on the website when I get some free time.

Thanks again to Lee and EuroMC for a great track day.

Yeah, that was really good fun for my first time out. I was in beginner, got some good tips from Lee and just had fun out there. Had some times when other beginners were going way to slow in the entry of some turns like 1 and 10 but I just held back till it was safe to pass. I didn't want to do anything dumb with the slower riders in that group because #1 we're not allowed and #2 I didn't want to scare anyone and give them a bad experience.

I felt good in session two, five and six. Didn't run session four or seven, just playing it safe for my first time out.

Still a blast though and it was great to see everyone I've met over time.

If Bill's Duc ends up missing, it wasn't me!  angel

Oneal, I found out after the fact that we were pitted right next to you. I was with those hooligans Lifttruck and Rick954.

Huge thanks to Lee and Co. for a great day.

Natrona, I saw your bike over there but I don't think we actually talked.  There were so many people there yesterday, it's hard to keep track of all the new faces  Grin

I'm glad your first day at the track was a good one.  It gets frustrating with the slower riders, but it sounds like you handled it well.  When in beginner, I would always remind myself that the slower guys made good passing practice!  Grin

What's the story with Bill's bike??

1st time on the track for me. Hung out in B and had a real good time. I am sure I will do it again with Lee & Co. in the spring. Until then it's back to the mountain twisties for me... crazy2

I offered weeks ago to let bill ride the 848 while we were up there for the day. He countered with a ride on his. I think I surprised him good when I walked up and asked him if he was ready for a test run. Next thing you know, eyes were big, lots of thank you and I brought my bike down to him, jumped off and jumped on his. Damn did his shock feel awesome. I really like the term pipes and dry clutch symphony as well.

You're lucky to have Bill let you ride his bike, but I don't know if I'd trade an 848 for it  Smiley

Just posted my vid from the intermediate group over in the 'VIDEOS' section.  It's not too exciting, but should make those who didn't come slightly jealous.

tickedoff -> bummer that I missed it.
Thanks for the vid, that little 250 can really take those turns... but 30hp isn't much to carry you up that hill out of turn 10!
Can't believe all the bugs... your bike probably gained 5 pounds in bug guts!

The bugs weren't all THAT bad, but I did get a few on my shield and was amazed that one actually hit the camera.  I only recorded two sessions, so that's all we get as far as video.

The 250 was hard to keep up with in the corners (for me), but if Teacoach got stuck behind someone anywhere in the turn, he was screwed for half a lap trying to regain his pace.
The thing probably topped out around 90 down the front straight.  I was actually impressed how fast it DID go.  I'd love to try one out on the track.
