man, wish i could've made it. hopefully i'll make it out there next time, the bike should finally be ready. don't worry about how fast or how slow you were, i'm sure you gave it hell like you always do, thats what matters.
backing the bike into the corners is sorta like dragging knee on the road course, it will comes with the speed. if you're working hard at doing it or forcing it to happen, you're usually slowing yourself down more than you are making faster lap times. work on being smooth, going faster out of corners, which usually means faster corner speeds to come out faster, and find a braking point thats later than a usual 'roadrace' entry point, and the sliding should come a little more naturally. slipper clutches are a nice way to cheat on it too

you'll find your comfort zone in the dirt the more you get out there and ride in it. it usually means making mistake after mistake, learning each time what the bike demands, and you'll soon be in your own zone. having a nice smooth 4stroke on the motard makes it much easier too, just don't chop the throttle in the whoops or you'll be on your ass without knowing what just happened. Yes, I speak by experience.
